This page explains what information Survival Report ("we", "us") handles when you visit survivalreport.org, and which outside companies receive data from your browser while you read. It describes what the site actually does today. If you have a question, use the contact form at /contact/.
The short version
- We do not have user accounts, a newsletter, or reader comments on the site.
- We do not run an analytics script. We use Google Search Console to see how the site performs in Google Search; it does not place anything on your browser.
- The only personal information you can give us directly is what you type into the contact form.
- The site shows ads (Google AdSense) and contains affiliate links (Amazon Associates, ClickBank and other affiliate networks). Those companies may collect data from your browser, as explained below.
- Our hosting server and our security plugin keep technical logs, including IP addresses.
Information you send us
The contact form at /contact/ asks for your name, your email address, an optional subject and your message. The form is sent to us by email. We use what you write only to read your message and reply to it. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not use the form to build a profile of you.
We keep a message only as long as needed to deal with your request.
Technical logs
Hosting server logs
Like most websites, the server that hosts survivalreport.org keeps standard access and error logs. These typically record your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page and your browser and device type. We use them to keep the site running and to investigate errors and abuse. They are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
Security plugin
We use the Wordfence security plugin. It logs IP addresses and request details so it can detect and block attacks, malicious bots and repeated failed logins. We use this information only to protect the site.
The site is served over HTTPS so that traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted.
Cookies and similar technologies
A small number of features set cookies in your browser, mostly only after you use them (for example, the accessibility menu). Our pages do not use browser local storage. The full list, with names and durations, is on the Cookie Policy page.
Outside services that receive data from your browser
When you load a page, your browser may contact the following companies directly. They receive at least your IP address and basic browser details, and some may set cookies of their own.

Advertising
We show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and, depending on your choices and where you are, show ads based on your interests.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, consent for these uses is collected through Google's own certified consent message ("Privacy & messaging"). You can accept, decline or change your choice there.

Affiliate links
Some articles contain affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a commission. As an Amazon Associate, Survival Report earns from qualifying purchases. We also use ClickBank affiliate links on some articles and may use other affiliate networks. See the Disclaimer for more on how we handle recommendations.
What we do not do
- We do not run our own analytics, tracking pixels or social-media tracking scripts.
- We do not offer accounts, a newsletter or reader comments, so we do not collect information for them.
- We do not ask for payment information; we sell nothing on this site.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to delete it, or to stop using it for a purpose you object to. Send the request through the contact form at /contact/. Because we hold very little (mainly contact-form messages and server logs), we may need your name and email address to find it.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. Blocking some cookies may stop features such as the accessibility menu from remembering your settings. Requests about data held by Google, Amazon or other outside companies must be made to those companies.

If our practices change, we will update this page and the date at the top.
